WATER CYCLE

THe cycle of processes by which water circulates between the earth's oceans, atmosphere, and land, involving precipitation as rain and snow, drainage in streams and rivers, and return to the atmosphere by evaporation and transpiration.

Water cycle maintain the water level of water on earth and thus prevents water scarcity.

1. First, water on the surface of the earth evaporates. 2. Then water get collected as water vapour in the sky . This forms clouds. 3. Next, the water in the clouds get cold. This makes it become liquid again. This process is called condensation. 4. Then the water falls from the sky as rain, snow, sleet or hail which is called precipitation. 5. The water sinks into the surface and also get collected on lakes, oceans or aquifers. It evaporates again and continues the cycle. This process is termed as water cycle.
