Windmill is a large machine that converts Wind Energy into Electric Energy.

It has huge wing span that can rotate when wind flows through it.. It wings are too huge that they can drive a Large Electric Generator attached behind these wings.

Almost all Large Scale Electricity is produced by converting some kind of mechanical energy into Electric energy in generator.

Powerplants like Thermal, Nuclear, etc.,, Uses non-renewable resources such as coal, Uranium, etc., these techniques are unsustainable and hazardous to our environment.
Whereas power generation through renewable energy sources like Wind, water flow, solar, etc are highly sustainable techniques due to endless availability of such energy sources and they are less harmful to the ecosystem.
