Hey..here's yur ans..

ZENER DIODE are a special kind of diode which permits current flow in the forward direction this breakdown voltage is known as ZENER VOLTAGE

hello friend..!!

ZENER DIODE : 

1) a properly doped junction diode which has a sharp reverse breakdown voltage is called a zener diode .

2) 
this diode  follow's reverse bias 

3) the diode is heavily doped 

4) since it is a heavily doped diode it's minority carriers increases .

5) zener diode acts as voltage regulator . 

6) the reverse breakdown voltage is called zener voltage . , it almost remains constant across the diode .
