"Absorbption"
- Diffusable material pass from digestive system into blood or lymph by diffusion, osmosis, active transport is called as ABSORPTION.
Passive Transport
- it does not require energy or ATP
- osmosis and diffusion are examples
-it occurs in blood
- materials like water, minerals, simple sugar and amino acids are through passive transport
Active Transport
- it is energy dependent or requires ATP
- it occurs in lymph
- fatty acid, cholesterol, glycerol are by active transport
