what is ac and dc generators?

AC generator means alternative current generator which produces AC current which is generally used by us in home while DC generator means direct current generator which produces DC current which is generally used by us in battery, cell etc

difference in AC and DC is that
AC current comes in alternative path while DC current passes in direct path

AC can be transmitted to long distance but DC cannot be transmitted in long distance because as we transmite it long its strength become low
