1. Positive acceleration:

When the velocity and acceleration of an object are in the same direction,such occurrence is known as. positive acceleration.

2. Negative Acceleration or Deceleration:

When the direction of velocity and acceleration of an object are in different different direction,it is known as Retardation or Deceleration. Basically,the object is changing its state of motion and that is from motile to rest. Example,when brakes of a vehicle are applied.

3. Uniform Acceleration:

When an object is moving with a constant acceleration,it is termed as uniform acceleration.
