Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. Its SI unit is m/sec². It is a vector quantity as it depends on magnitude and direction both...

Hope this helps:p

Hi friend,

Acceleration is change in velocity/time taken.

Acceleration is taken positive when it is in direction of velocity and taken negative when it is opposite to the direction of velocity.

SI unit of acceleration is m per s^2--- m/s^2.

Uniform acceleration is when velocity increases or decreases by equal intervals of time.

Non-uniform acceleration is when velocity increases or decreases with unequally intervals of time.

Hope it helps....
