what is acceleration

pradeep31: It's a rate of change in velocity with respect to time.. That's means a=dv/dt, where a is acceleration, v is velocity, t is time.. its unit is ms^-2.

The rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time is known as Acceleration.

Acceleration(a)= vf( final velocity)-vi( initial velocity)/t(time).

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time.
The SI unit for acceleration is metre per second square(ms⁻²).

Accelerations are vector quantities (they have magnitude and direction) and it follow vector law of algebra.

accⁿ = change in velocity / time= (v-u)/t
accⁿ (when variable velocity w.r.t time) = Δv/Δt = dv/dt = v dv/dx

The slope of v vs t curve gives the acceleration.

I hope this helps you ^_^
