When the velocity of an object changes it is said to beaccelerating.

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with time.

Acceleration occurs anytime an object's speed increases or decreases, or it changes direction.

Much like velocity, there are two kinds of acceleration: average and instantaneous.

\boxed{Acceleration:}

The rate of change in momentum of Velocity of an object with respect to time is called \textbf{Acceleration.} It is Denoted by A .

A=  \frac{Change\:in\:Velocity}{Time}

A =  \frac{Final\:Velocity-\:Intitial\:Velocity}{Time}

\boxed{Types\:of\:Acceleration:}

\underline{Uniform\:Accelration-} When a body travels in a straight path and it's Velocity increases by equal amount in equal interval of time, is called Uniform Acceleration
Example :: The motion of ball rolling down an inclined plain.

\underline{Non-Uniform\:Accelration-} If the change in Velocity is not equal in equal interval of time is called Non-Uniform Motion.
Example :: The motion of Bus leaving the Bus Stop.

\underline{Positive\:Accelration-} When the Velocity of the object increase with time and direction of an object, it is known as Positive Acceleration.

\underline{Negative\:Accelration-} When the Velocity of an object decreases with the time, the change in Velocity is called Negative Acceleration. It is also known as Retardation.
