acc due to gravity is simply the acc a body experience while falling towards earth or any other planet , it is the same acc which will increase your speed by 10 m/s every sec if you fall from a building.

g is directly proportional to G , by the formula

g=GM÷ R^2 ; M is mass of planet and R is radius of planet.
