Accuracy is the agreement of a particular value to the true value of the result.

However, Precision refers to the closeness of various measurements for the same quantity.

Example :

Let, the true value for a result be 10cm.

After an experiment , a student 'A' takes two measurement and reports the result as 8.7 cm and 11.4 cm. These values are neither precise nor accurate.

Another student 'B' repeats the experiment and obtains 9.21cm and 9.30 cm as result. These values are are precise but not accurate.

A third student 'C' repeats the experiment and obtains 9.8 cm and 10.1 cm as a result. Thus, this results are both precise and accurate.
