65 years after it came into being it is still in force in a third world asian country with such a poverty and diversity. 

We could have ended up in civil war or some dictatorship (most likely by the notorious mafia family) or military rule like Pakistan. But no such thing happened and we are doing way better than we were 65 years ago.
