acid are sour which can turn blue Litmus into red whereas basis are bitter which can turn red litmus to blue

ACID: -- the acids are the substances which gives hydrogen or hydronium ions in water .
if they give give more hydrogen or hydronium ions , then it is STRONG ACID.
similarly if they give less ions then it is WEEK ACID.
BASES : The substances which give hydroxide ions in water solution .
if they give more no.of hydroxide ions then it it called STRON BASE.
similarly if they give less ions then it is called WEEK ACID ..
