acids are those substances which gives H+ ions when mixed with water.

bases are those substances which gives OH- ions in water.

indicators are those substances which make us to know whether the substance is acid or base.

various types of indicators---
1.litmus paper
2.turmeric
3.phenolphthalein
4.methyl orange etc

❏ Acid ----> Acid are the Substance which are sour in taste and corrosive in nature. It turns the blue litmus solution into red ......And after dissociation produce H+ ions

Example of Acid are ....

✨ HCL (Hydrochloric acid )

✨ H2SO4(Sulphuric acid)

✨ CH3COOH(Acetic acid)

❏ Base -----> Base are the Substance which are bitter in taste and corrosive in nature . It turns red Litmus solution into blue ...And after dissociation it produced OH- Ions ....

Example of base are .....

✨ KOH (Potassium hydroxide )

✨NaOH ( Sodium Hydroxide )

✨Ca(OH)2 (Calcium hydroxide)
