Acid rain is caused when harmful gases such as sulfur and nitrogen are given off by wastes and dead remains of plants and animals so they then mix with oxygen to form sulphuric oxide and nitric oxide and then they further get added with water and form sulphourous acid and nitrous acid and fall on earth.

2) It increases acidity of soil and increasing its ph value
