When the atmospheric Nitrogen Oxides and Sulfur Dioxide mix with water and fall on the Earth as rain, it is known as acid rain.
It makes the lakes and other uncovered water bodies and land acidic. You can get various diseases if you get wet. Acidic rain water can leech aluminium from the soil and leak into the water bodies. Hence, harming the aquatic life.
