Acid rain is caused due to the atmospheric clouds mixing with oxides of nitrogen and sulphur

When it falls to the ground it causes the following damages

  • Water degradation : increases acidic content this resulting in death of aquatic animals
  • Land degradation: percolates and goes to the ground water and makes it not drinkable

ACIDIC rain is mainly caused by burning of plastic and fossil fuels

Acid Rain is a rain compromise of acidic components such as sulphuric and nitric acid . The type of acid rain which contains water is called wet deposition.

Although pollution caused by man are affecting mostly acidic precipitation, but natural disasters can also be a strong string to cause acid rain. For example Volcano Eruption which caused harmful pollutants into air and causes Acid Rain through out the area.

Effects of Acid Rain:

Acid Rain affects nearly everything includes plants, vegetation trees, soils.

Rain causes acid effects soil fertility and less growth of vegetation. IIt has also having adverse effects on Flora and Funa.
