if there is nitric acid and sulphuric acid is present in air due to pollution, it dissolves with rain that makes the rain acidic, this is known as acid rain. it can damage the crops and old monuments

As it flows through the soil acidic rain water can leach aluminium from soil clay particles and then flow into stream and lakes . The more acid that is introduced to the ecosystem the more aluminium is released.
