acid rain is a type of rain in which there are high levels of acids like nitrogen , sulphur , ammonium and carbon in the atmosphere. It is caused by a chemical reaction by Nitrogen oxide and sulphur dioxide with atmospheric water .
DISADVANTAGES
1. it affects the pure water in ponds and lakes and destroys the aquatic life .
2. it can affect the trees with high altitude.
3. it can damage historical monuments and buildings .
4. soil can be affected and can lead to death of good microbes
