nitrogen dioxide, carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide released from vehicles, factories and chimneys gets mix with the droplets of rain. this rainfall then falls on the earth in the form of acidic. thus it becomes acidic and is called acid rain.

example 1) acid rain is harmful for animals and plants when exposed directly to rain as skin gets burn
2) many historical buildings and monuments are damaged due to acid rain
3)it also creates pollution and is bad for environment
