● Acid rain -
- Rainfall with excess of hydrogen ions in it (acodic) is called acid rain.
- Acid rain is caused when rain combines with sulphur dioxide or nitrogen oxide.
2SO2 + O2 + 2H2O --> 2H2SO4
4NO2 + O2 + 2H2O --> 4HNO3
● pH of soil -
- Soil is mixed with water and pH of mixture is taken.
- Usual pH of soil is 5.5 to 7 .
