Hi there!!! Acidic proton is the hydrogen ion that is yielded by a substance in water (aqueous solution) or donated to a base. I think one should be familiar with chemical formula and structures. This is actually acetic acid. Based on the chemical name, one would be able to know that it is actually hydrogen ion and acetate ion put together. The formula of acetate ion is CH3COO (with a negative one charge) (some versions can be C2H3O2 with a negative one charge). Through this, you know that the remaining hydrogen in your given compound (acetic acid) is the acidic proton. That is, the last hydrogen in CH3COOH. Structures can also be helpful in finding the acidic proton. Acetic acid is a carboxylic acid. The hydrogen in the -OH group is the acidic proton since the electrons have a tendency to move to oxygen (since oxygen has a higher electronegativity) and therefore breaking the bond between them with hydrogen ion "flying away" (being yielded or donated) from the entire molecule.
However, I'll give you a tip. Usually, the acidic proton is placed at the beginning or at the end of the chemical formula. In this case, only the end part displays the H. This hydrogen must be the acidic proton. But don't rely on this too much. There could be exemptions.
