Lindlar catalyst is a heterogeneous catalyst which contains palladium in calcium carbonate. It is used for the hydrogenation of Alkynes to Alkenes.

Therefore propyne will transform to propene on adding Lindlar catalyst

sdevikrishna00855: Oops, In my keyboard I can't type triple bond
rozmin16: ok then write triple bond
sdevikrishna00855: What an idea... Ok lets wait. I will
sdevikrishna00855: CH(triple bond) C(single bond)CH3 [ adding Lindlar catalyst and H2 ] gives = CH2( double bond)CH(single bond)CH3
sdevikrishna00855: Hope you understand
rozmin16: square brackets means it is written on arrow
rozmin16: square brackets means it is written on arrow?
rozmin16: square brackets means it is written on arrow?
sdevikrishna00855: Yep. It is written in the arrow
