There's no reaction of chlorine with CS2. I'll explain that with ammonia.
● Reaction of chlorine with ammonia -
Reaction of chlorine and ammonia primarily depends on availability of chlorine.
- Ammonia reacts with limiting chlorine to release N2 gas.
8NH3 + 3Cl2 ---> 6NH4Cl + N2
- Ammonia reacts with excess of chlorine to give NCl3.
NH3 + 3Cl2 ---> NCl3 + 3HCl
