Explanation:

a) Toluene reacts with chromyl chloride in the presence of carbon disulfide to give benzaldehyde.

C₆H₅CH₃ + CrO₂Cl₂/CS₂ → C₆H₅CH(OCrCl₂OH)₂ → C₆H₅CHO

                                             Brown color complex

b) Toluene reacts with Cl₂ in presence of light to give benzyl chloride that is a final product of this radical reaction.

C₆H₅CH₃ + Cl₂/Light → C₆H₅CH₂Cl + HCl

C) When toluene reacts with KMnO₂ on oxidation it gives benzoic acid.

C₆H₅CH₃ + KMnO₄(alk.) → C₆H₅COOH
