Hey friend here is your answer.....

Answer :

 \bold{Active \: Transport}

Plants absorb minerals by the process of active transport .

In this process, minerals enter the root even if the concentration is higher inside the root than in the soil.

The process is called 'active' transport because, unlike diffusion and Osmosis, it requires the plant to expend energy.

Carrier proteins, found in the cell membrane, help transport minerals in the cytoplasm from outside of the cell.

These proteins bind with the minerals to be transported and carry them against the concentration gradient across the cell membrane, using energy .

They release the minerals within the cytoplasm and return to the other side of the membrane to continue transporting minerals to the cell .

Active transport requires expenditure of energy .

Hope it helps you.....
