Active transport means the paasage of molecules of a substance against the concentration gradient by using the energy from cell in the form of ATP ... This process is just a reverse of passive transport...

Thanku

Active transport is the movement of molecules from lower concentration to higher concentration against the concentration gradient by using ATP as energy source.

Sodium- potassium pump is used for transport of sodium and potassium in and out of the cell. This is an example for active transport.
