Addiction is a consciences of your mind. It’s also a really strong liking of something - except that it’s very hard to break it in some cases once you started. Yes, in some cases it can destroy your life literally because smoking and drugs can cause health problems, which could lead to death. It can also destroy your life mentally. If you are too addicted to drugs and smoking but suddenly stop, it can cause mental problems and depression. Gambling can also make you lose your money because if you gamble oon that one bad day, you may lose a large amount of money. So yes, addiction can destroy your life, mentally and physically.
