HERE'S YOUR ANSWER

Additive inverse is a property of a number (say x) in mathematics which when added to another number (say y) yields zero.

It means that the additive inverse of a number is totally its inverse.

[It should be understood that the maening of inverse is not the reciprocal of the number.]

You can simply find the additive inverse of a number by the inversion of it's sign.

For example,

Additive inverse of 5 can be found simply inverting its sign ,i.e, -5.

Similarly, additive inverse of -7 is 7.
