Aerolar tissue is a type of loose connective tissue mainly found beneath the skin.
It has main four types of cell namely MACROPHAGE, MAST CELL, PLASMA CELLS AND ADIPOCYTES.
MACROPHAGE is phagocytic in nature and protects from infection.
MAST CELL secrets Heparin, Histamine and Serotonin.
Histamine is allergic and inflammatory.
Serotonin is vasoconstrictor and prevent blood loss.
Heparin is anticoagulant.
PLASMA CELL secrets antibodies.
ADIPOCYTES are fat cells.
Besides it has two types of fibres namely White fibres and Yellow fibres
WHITE FIBRES are made up of collagen ,are more in number, wavy , unbranded and in bundle providing tensibility.
YELLOW FIBRES are made of elastin. less in number, slender, branched and occur singly providing flexibility.
