Altitude is the physical factor which is vary from place to place.
This climate zone can be experienced in the high altitudes of Himalayas. In this region there are high climatic fluctuations due to steep altitude variations.Normally, there is 4 deg F drop in temperature every 1000ft of height, meaning if the temp at sea level is 75 degF then at an adjacent mountain 10,000 ft above the temp will be 35deg F.This climate zone can be experienced in the high altitudes of Himalayas. Due to high Western Ghats in India, Kerala receives heavy rainfall with little rainfall o the opposite side.
With the increase in altitude the atmosphere becomes less dense and temperature decreases. That is why hills are cooler during summer. India has an average height of 6000 meters in the north while in the south there is a vast coastal area with maximum elevation of about 30 meters. It is because of the differences in altitudes or relief that while it is hot during summer in the Plains of Punjab, Haryana, UP etc., the places in the mountains like Nainital, Darjeeling, and Ooty etc. are cool.some places in the South-West India like Mumbai, Kochi, Trinvandrum and etc are Hot Tropical Rainy Areas, which means that thre gonna be raining mostly all over year. That happens because of warm ocean current. And as there is warm current more evaporation happens which leads to more rains. Also even on the other side of India there is warm current, but not as warm as in west side of India. And west side of India has high pressure which leads thus places to be Dry in winter.
