An affectional action is one of four major types of social action, as defined by Max Weber. Unlike the other social actions, an affectional action is an action that occurs as a result of a person's state of feeling, sometimes regardless of the consequences that follow it.

An emotional action would be an action caused by emotions. Affective things are like that  they are either caused by feelings or emotions, influenced by them, or related to emotions otherwise. We can also use it affectively to indicate something is emotional.
