The number of people in different age groups is referred as age composition.
It affect the population’s social and economic status because that only adult in the given population contribute to the economic decelopment. And the child do not contribute to the economy.

- It is defined as the proportionate number of person in a progressive age in a total population.
- This age composition can be categorised into three ways.
They are:
- Children (0-14 years)
- Adults (15-60 years)
- Aged (60 + years)
Children (0-14 years)
- It defines that the children who are from the age of (0 to 14) will not able to contribute their rights in the economy in any form.
Adults (15-60 years)
- And the Adults of a country who are between (15 to 60) can contribute to their country in any ways.
Aged (60 + years)
- Above the age of (60+) cannot able to provide their contribution to the economy. Because they depends on adults.
