Hi Mate,

AIDS: Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome
=>an illness which destroys the body’s ability to fight infection.

Causes:
1. the age of the individual
2. the body's ability to defend against HIV
3. access to high-quality, sanitary healthcare
4. the presence of other infections
5. the individual's genetic inheritance resistance to certain strains of HIV
6. drug-resistant strains of HIV

Precautions:
1. avoid sharing syringes;
2. use disposable gloves when at risk of direct contact with blood;
3. for HIV positive women, consider giving birth by caesarian section.

Causes :-

1.Contact between broken skin, wounds, or mucous membranes and HIV-infected blood or blood-contaminated body fluids. Deep, open-mouth kissing if both partners have sores or bleeding gums and blood from the HIV-positive partner gets into the bloodstream of the HIV-negative partner. HIV is not spread through saliva.

Precautions :- Wear gloves:

1. When you have open or healing wounds, or skin infections.

2. When in contact with blood or body fluids, secretions, excretions or non-intact skin.

3. When in contact with surfaces or articles contaminated with blood or body fluids.

4. When performing venipuncture or other vascular access procedures.
