The design of the transport system is also to help to achieve the overarching generational goal for the environment and the environmental quality objectives, and to contribute to improved health

Transport is the movement of goods from one location to another. Logistics is the movement of goods through transport so that the product arrives at the time and place where that product will me needed. There is a saying, “Amateurs study tactics while professionals study logistics.” What this means is you can't win a battle without supplies arriving when you need them. The same can be said with manufacturing in order to avoind the extra expense of warehousing each item ahead of time. If you look what happened during WW II you out must notice that Japan had a logistic problem.
