What is air made up of ?

{\underline{\boxed{ \purple{ \maltese \: {\textsf{\textbf{\purple{Answer}}}}}}}}

A large percentage of air,almost 99%,is made up of oxygen and nitrogen.The remaining 1% consists of water vapour,dust,smoke, and other gases like carbon dioxide.

Though dust and smoke constitute a very well small percentage of air,they can be extremely harmful.Burning of fuel and other substances releases dust and smoke into the atmosphere.Inhaling dust and smoke (which contains harmful gases) can lead to breathing problems.

The composition of air is not the same everywhere.For instαnce,a clean,dry place will have the typical composition of air.In polluted cities,the amount of dust and smoke found in the air will be higher.In humid places such as coastal areas,the amount of water vapour present in the air is higher.
