Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major part of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog. Some air pollutants are poisonous.

Hi there,

Air pollution is when harmful or excessive quantities of substances. Factories are the main cause of air pollution because they are burning stuff (fossil fuel) and it is getting in the air.

The main sources of air pollution is:

Mobile sources: these included cars, buses, planes, trucks and trains. They burn a lot of fuel which create gases and that gets to our skies.

Stationary sources: these included power plants, oil refiners, industrial facilities, and factories.

Area Sources: these included agricultural areas, cities, and wood burning fireplaces.

Smoke, gas, you name them are the main cause of air pollution.

Hope this helped :)

Have a great day
