Air pressure also known as Atmospheric Pressure, is caused by the gravitational force of our planet, on the gases present in earth’s atmosphere. It is affected by rotation of our planet as well as temperature variations, velocity of wind etc.

The air pressure is measured in kPa (kilo pascal), psi (pounds per square inch) or mbar (millibar). The common instrument for measurement of atmospheric pressure is called a barometer.
