Algae are unicellular or multicellular organisms. They are green in colour.  They make there food by the process of photosynthesis because chlorophyll .They are mostly found on  rivers and sometimes on seas too. It is commonly seen when the amount of phosphorous controls the amount of algae found in water bodies.the more nutrient- enriched a water body, typically the more algae will be there.
