Algebra is a branch of Mathematics. The special thing about this branch of maths is, that it deals with variables to replace the unknown elements in an equation. This is one of those branches which make all the other branches complete. We won't be able to solve a complex calculus problem without the use of algebra, nor would we able to solve a trigonometry problem without it. Thus, it would not be wrong to say that Algebra is one of those branches that are the heart and soul of Mathematics.
