Allylic halides are the compounds in which the halogen atom is bonded to sp 3 −hybridised carbon atom next to carbon-carbon double bond (C=C). For example; CH3CH=CHCH2Cl is an allylic halide. Such halides are reactive in both Sn1 and Sn2 mechanisms.
