≥ An instrument for measuring altitude ( height above a certain reference level usually mean sea- level). The atmospheric pressure changes with altitudes and therefore by measuring atmospheric pressure we can measure altitude. An aneroid barometer can be used as an altimeter.

≥ An instrument used to measure electric current. Ammeter is always connected in series because it have very low resistance. Generally a shunted moving coil galvanometer is used as an ammeter.
