Ambident Nucleophiles are the ions which possess two nucleophilic centers. They bond with other ions with both the centers resulting in speices of different configuration. Example: cyanide ion: CN- and nitrile ion NO3-. Cyanide has two nucleophilic centers one on Carbon and other on Nitrogen.
