It was a revolution between the Thirteen Colonies (Now known as the United States of America) and Britain. After the French and Indian War, Britain was extremely in debt. Becuase they ruled the Thirteen Colonies, they taxed them. The colonists were not happy with this and they were angry.

So, after many taxes, the Continental Congress was held to decide if they should start a revolution or not. Many people wanted independence so then the battle begun.

The American Revolution was a series of battles which lasted for 8 years. After an alliance with France and the Treaty of Paris, America won the revolution and won their independence!
