That’s not an adequate definition. “X=amount of sand” and I wouldn’t have deducted for that, but “X= pounds per square yard of sand” is a much better answer. Tells you what you are doing. If you start this problem and end up with X=13 seconds, you know you’ve done something wrong. X is as defined above, and that’s not ‘time’.
