Amphoteric Oxides :
Those oxides which shows the properties of both acids as well bases are called Amphoteric Oxides.
For example Aluminium oxide is an amphotheric oxide which neutralises both acids and bases.

In chemistry, an amphoteric compound is a molecule or ion that can react both with acid as well as a base. Many metals such as copper, zinc, tin, lead, aluminium, and beryllium are from amphoteric oxides or hydroxides. Amphoterism depends on the oxidation states of the oxide.
