What is amphoteric oxide? Why such oxide are called so? Give some examples.

Hey mate!

Amphoteric oxides are the oxides of the metals that react with both a is and bases. Such metallic oxides react with acids and bases to produce salt and water. Eg: ZnO and Al2O3.
