DNA Fingerprinting is a method of identifying DNA's of different persons by locating the differences in the nucleotide sequences in a specific regions of the DNA which are repeated several times.

This method involves a series of processes and amplification is one of them.  

The DNA is Amplified during this process with the help of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). By doing this several copies of the required DNA are obtained in a short span of time.
