Amplitude :- The maximum displacement or distance moved by a point on a vibrating body or wave measured from its equilibrium position is known as Amplitude .

OR in simple the depth of the crest or trough  .

OR The maximum disturbance of a point from its equillibrium position .

SI Unit = meter (m)

Amplitude is the maximum displacement of the bob from its mean position to its either side.

metre is the SI unit of amplitude.
