Answer:

Acid rain can be extremely harmful to forests. Acid rain that seeps into the ground can dissolve nutrients, such as magnesium and calcium, that trees need to be healthy. Acid rain also causes aluminum to be released into the soil, which makes it difficult for trees to take up water.

Explanation:

may cause harmful effects on soil, forests, streams, and lakes. Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. The SO2 and NOX react with water, oxygen and other chemicals to form sulfuric and nitric acids.

Answer:

Acid rain is caused due to increase amount of air pollution in our environment ..and in air pollution acid rain is caused due to sulphur dioxide (SO2 ) and nitrous oxide (NO) which is produced from vehicles .when SO2 and NO mixed with vapour present in air it forms Sulphuric acid and nitric acid ( H2SO4 and HNO3 ) respectively . It harmful for monuments , buildings and living organism . Taj Mahal is corroded by acid rain and it's called marble cancer .
